The festive season is upon us and for those of us in Australia it is all about spending more time outdoors, cocktails and heading to the beach. This laid back summer vibe can rub off on our Christmas theming with less green and red tinsel and more DIY projects using native branches and leaves, drift wood and creating a more minimalist look in general that does not have to be boring and stark but rather and little more sophisticated and subtle.
This months mood board is all about Christmas with table setting desires…varying votives in frosted, glass and gold tones, rosemary used in a subtle table setting arrangement and shells for a beachy vibe as well as a minimalist approach to decorating the lounge room. Festive garlands that are not over the top and a wooden and moss theme that does not scream Christmas. I love the idea of using pallet wood used to create a Christmas tree design as well as using drift wood or various sticks and leaves for creating hanging star arrangements.
Merry Christmas everyone.
