Kuitpo Forest Styled Shoot 2017

I am so pumped to share this styled shoot we recently did in Kuitpo Forest, south of Adelaide. The shoot’s style is a moodier take on a Bohemian style wedding as it has a dark edginess to it with an elopement yet festive feel.

Our aim was to follow our love for doing things a little differently with the hope to inspire our clients to go their own way on their wedding day and follow their true to them style as we have done with this shoot. Your wedding should be a reflection of you. It was essential for us –  to while keeping to the original brief for all the creatives involved to have the freedom to create true to their style, and showcase their own work.

Firstly we love black.

Black was a key element and so here at Eve to Dawn, we created dark, matte furniture to help create an edgy yet sleek vibe. Pairing cane with black is a style element I love and so cane planters and chairs were woven into the shoot along with loads of candles and lanterns. Black candle holders, vases and the black ceremony backdrop were all offset against the vibrant colours of the rugs, cushions and flowers. The day bed in the middle of the forest, with the insanely beautiful arrangement by Pretty Little Blooms, was a stand out for me – it bought together the entire laid back, elopement vibe. A black inspired shoot wouldn’t be complete without a dress that oozed edginess and romance all in one and that is why the beautiful lace gown by Spell Designs was a perfect fit for the shoot.

Among all the black was brilliant pops of colour from the rugs, stunning eye make up by Marie and of course the flowers.

Sarah from Pretty Little Blooms created wildly beautiful, deep and dark arrangements using Pampas Grass, Adelaide Hills Hellebore’s, garden roses, ranunculus, kale, lillianthus, frilled tulips, local S.A amaranthus and carnations as well as Black Beauty foliage. Her attention to detail and working in with the theme and colour scheme was completely on point.

In keeping with the elopement vibe, hair was lightly tousled and then sleek for later in the evening whilst make up started light and natural but then had deep colour injected in later on that really popped.

Emme from Emme Jade Photography created a mystical, dark vibe within the forest with her unique photography style whilst showcasing the electric colours of the flowers and décor. Her work is just phenomenal. Check out her work here.

Our Models, Ali and Sam, just BLOW me away looking back over the photos. When I first laid eyes on Ali I knew she would be perfect for this shoot…..have I said the phrase on point yet???

It was such an epic day and an absolute thrill to shoot with such an amazing group of talented people who all came together perfectly to make the vision come to life.  We hope you love it as much as we do x x
